I've worked in the Chicago Public Schools for over 18 years. During that time I've worked several different after-school programs. The CHESS ACADEMY is by far the favorite of all the students who have participated. It combines Reading, Math, and chess strategies combined with fun, prizes, and competition. Kids learn the academics as well as sportsmanship while learning a game they can participate in for their entire lives. Coach John gives us all the materials and resources we need and is always there to assist in any way possible.
